The book provides great knowledge and expertise into the executive protection community; however, the book demonstrates a one-sided view of asset protection with little to no variations. As for the characteristics and responsibilities of an agent or professional, Dale June nails it!
This book is a great read, as an introductory book it provides lots of stories and examples to demonstrate the author's point. Before I decided to have a career in executive protection, I read this book and found it very insightful which in turn ignited my passion for the executive protection field. As one of Mr. June's students, I can say the book is a great reference for someone who is starting in the field as well as the seasoned E.P. agent.
Poor writing and editing. Bias evident throughout. I wish I could return this book.
This book by Dale June has been written on a college style of format. I have found that approach to be much welcomed as many other books on the same subject are far from educational. From the first few paragraphs, I knew that my investment in this book was a sound one.I have been involved in the security field for 10 plus years, and have found Mr. Junes book to be well beyond the scope of my expectations. I cant say enough about this logical, methodical format that keeps even an experienced security provider like myself pondering every page. With that, I mean that his perspective and experience base are very thought provoking and incredibly relevant to the subject matter.In short, if you want to experience a thorough well thought out education into the executive protection field, here it is.
This is a very bad way to learn executive protection! The author is a poor writer and does not seem to understand the difference between a 1-2 man detail in the private sector compared to the dozens involved in the Secret Service.STAY CLEAR OF THIS BOOK !!!!!
Great book. I would recommend it as an introduction to the executive protection industry.
Helped with my school assignments. Everything was clear within the chapters. It is way better than having to read an online book. I'd rather have the physical copy.
I ordered the first and second edition to see the differences. I was very happy that I did because they both have outstanding qualities. You can tell Mr. June is a professional.
